Teens Don`t Know What “Blind Spot” Is

Teens had “no idea” about truck blind spots before climbing inside

Teenagers learn that they really had “no idea” how serious truck blind spots are before getting behind the wheel as part of a special semi truck education program.

Around 150 students from McDowell High School in Erie, Pennsylvania were able to learn about trucking and truck driving safety when Penn State Behrend brought one of their tractor trailers to the high school to give the students a hands-on experience.

Not only did the experience help to educate the students on trucking as a career, but the day featured a specific focus on driving safely around semi trucks while out on the road.

It was a big eye-opener, you really had no idea before getting in the truck it was that bad because everyone knows there’s a truck blind spot, but no one really knows the extent of it.
