Seven NYC Bridges Ban Empty Trailers On Monday.
The ban applies to empty tractor trailers and double trailers on bridges throughout the New York City area starting at 8 a.m. on Monday, March 11th and is expected to end at 10 p.m. Monday evening.
According to Fox 5 NY, the ban applies to the following bridges:
- Bronx-Whitestone Bridge
- Cross Bay Bridge
- Henry Hudson Bridge
- Marine Parkway-Gil Hodges Memorial Bridge
- Robert F. Kennedy Bridge
- Throgs Neck Bridge
- Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge
Pedestrian walkways along the Cross Bay Bridge and Marine Parkway-Gil Hodges Memorial Bridge are also closed.
The entire NYC area is under a wind advisory until 11 p.m. on Monday as a weekend storm is blown out of the region. Wind gusts of up to 60 mph are predicted.
